A well-control equipment primer covering the history of the oil industry and the anatomy of onshore and offshore drilling rigs. Students receive a solid overview of drilling systems, associated components, and BOP equipment. Major OEMs are reviewed in this course.

Revision 4

A course on subsea well-control equipment and systems. Covers the operations functionality of the current major OEMs’ BOP components and control systems; clearly articulates the knowledge needed to effective perform maintenance, inspections for regulatory compliance and requirements. This course intentionally promotes and enhances the relationship between operators and drilling contractors.
